The romantic comedy Tere Ishk Mein — with Dhanush as well as Kriti Sanon is officially the first film starring the actor to hit the Rs100 crore million net at the Indian box office.
According to estimates from the box office it earned Rs6.75-7 crores on its 10th day of release, increasing its domestic total to Rs100 crore. The Hindi version is said to have earned around the sum of Rs95 crore, while the Tamil version earned about five crores in the first Sunday.
In spite of the competition from Dhurandhar which was released just prior to its second week, “Tere Ishk Mein” was able to hold its own — helped by the positive reviews as well as the film’s empathetic storyline, popular music and strong performances from both of the leads.
This achievement is notable due to the fact that “Tere Ishk Mein” is Dhanush’s only Hindi-language film in the theatre (after Raanjhanaa and Shamitabh) this feat is an amazing cross-cultural success.
