Suspected Pakistani Drone Spotted in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch; Third Incident This Week

Jammu:

Overnight, watchers in Jammu and Kashmir lifted their guard as a drone – likely launched from Pakistan – flew near Poonch, close to the border. Not long ago, another such sighting happened; before that, one more earlier in the week. Three times now, these unmanned machines have appeared where they shouldn’t. Eyes are narrowing toward risks coming across the divide.

One moment, quiet watch continued as soldiers scanned the border line like usual.

Then – movement caught on screen, small shape drifting where it should not be. A signal went out fast, boots stirred into motion without delay. Machines powered up to block the sky thing before it got closer. Nothing broke, nobody hurt, just tension rising like smoke after rain. Now eyes stay wider open, every ear tuned sharp through the nights.

Drone Sightings Keep Happening

Something seen recently fits a pattern from just days before. Early this week, several flying machines without pilots showed up near Naushera and Rajouri, so soldiers brought out gear to block them. One day later, more movement in the sky appeared over Keri area, pushing officials to sound warnings while watching closer than before.

Officials noted the frequent sightings might signal efforts to check how ready India’s air defences are or collect confidential data near the border. To stay safe, soldiers stationed at the LoC and surrounding regions were told to keep fully alert.

India Expresses Concerns Over Pakistan

A sudden meeting came after Monday’s drone sighting. Top military officers from India and Pakistan sat down for urgent talks. Not long into the conversation, New Delhi made its position clear. Unwanted aerial movements were called out as a serious breach. Officials pointed to past agreements meant to keep borders calm. Peace across the region hangs on these commitments. Any break raises tension quickly. The message carried weight without needing loud words.

Facing the approach of Republic Day, troops hold firm positions across contested zones. Where tensions linger, readiness stays high near frontier markers. With ceremonies on the horizon, vigilance sharpens at key crossings. Because risks remain present, patrols increase without announcement. Near disputed edges, forces stay alert through layered safeguards.

Army Chief Warns of Growing Threat

Lately, drones keep showing up just days after General Upendra Dwivedi, head of the army, gave a sharp message to Pakistan. He made it clear India is watching each step taken by the opposing side with full attention.

On Wednesday, during a ceremony in Jaipur under the South Western Command, the Army chief made clear India’s firm stance on defending its own ground. The operation called Sindoor, started after the terrorist incident at Pahalgam on April 22, still continues, he said, speaking into the moment like it mattered most.

“Operation Sindoor was the result of our firm resolve. Within 88 hours, our precision, professionalism and operational superiority forced Pakistan to agree to a ceasefire,” General Dwivedi said. He added that the operation demonstrated the Indian Army’s decisive capability to safeguard national interests.

Now here’s a twist – Indian leaders keep saying Operation Sindoor isn’t finished, just on hold. It stops for now, yet the message stands firm: any challenge could bring action again. Not over, merely waiting.

Ied Defused in Rajouri

Earlier Thursday, in Rajouri’s Kakora village, a homemade bomb got defused by troops. This happened while they were acting on precise intel during a mission against militants.

Fuse cut, device safe – authorities say no one hurt during the operation. Efforts to stop threats like this keep showing results across the area.

Heightened Vigil Continues

Flying objects spotted in the sky have kept officials alert across Jammu and Kashmir. As Republic Day nears, military units stay locked into constant surveillance routines. Because of ongoing threats, teams work without pause to track movements day after night. Safety plans now run tighter than before thanks to rising alerts. Officers stress that protection stays top priority amid shifting risks. Though quiet for now, every corner watches harder when daylight fades.

Calm is what officials want near the borders, so people should stay steady while working alongside troops. Protection stands ready – built tough to handle whatever might come.
