Renowned actress and politician Hema Malini made a very emotional tribute of her late husband Dharmendra on his 90th birth anniversary. Just a few days before his 90th birthday, the legendary actor died on November 24. He left a huge influence on Indian cinema for the next fifty years.
Hema Malini did a throwback with Dharmendra pictures and posted a very touching note on their life. She indicated that his death made her very sad but she is still trying to reconstruct her life while she cannot let go of the memories she has with him.
“More than two weeks have gone by since you left me in great sorrow, I am gradually picking up the fragments and trying to put my life back together, but I know that you will always be with me in spirit,” she said.
She also wrote that their fun times can never be erased and that she finds it comforting and peaceful to remember them over and over again.
Hema Malini’s Message from the Heart
In her sincere communication, Hema prayed God for the good times they had and for their daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol whom she called the fruits of their love.
“I am thankful to God for the time we spent together, for the two lovely girls that we brought up and who are living proof of our love for each other, and I am also thankful for all the beautiful and happy moments that will always stay with me in my heart,” she said.
Finally, she wished for his eternal peace and happiness and remembered him as a humble, kind, and loving-to-the-humanity person.
Sunny Deol and Esha Deol’s Emotional Tributes
Dharmendra’s children also paid emotional tributes to their father on his birth anniversary.
In order to rejoice his father’s birthday Sunny Deol shared a throwback video that captured a heartfelt and idilic moment between father and son during a trip. In the clip, Sunny asks, “Papa, are you enjoying?” to which Dharmendra replies with a smile, “I am really enjoying, my son.”
Sunny did the video captioning in Hindi and wrote:
“Today is my father’s birthday. Father is always with me. Love you papa. Miss you.”
In the same vein, Esha Deol posted various pictures featuring her father and jotted down an emotional note that described their relationship as immortal.
“To my loving Papa. Our promise, the strongest bond. ‘Us’ through all our lifetimes, all the realms and beyond,” she wrote.
Esha also revealed how she misses his hugs, his voice, and his words very much. She vowed to be like him in humility, kindness, and strength and to take his legacy forward.
