The film Dhurandhar which stars Ranveer Singh already has been generating considerable buzz prior to the release date of December 5 -due to high pre-booking numbers and hefty cost of tickets.
According to information from Sacnilk the film has sold 9,110 tickets across the country to date. In that number, 8,566 tickets are to be used for 2D screenings. 544 tickets were booked for IMAX 2D screenings. These bookings are spread across 2251 shows in India.
The total is an amount of Rs45,166,679 ( Rs45.17 lakh) in advance ticket sales. If seats that are blocked by theatres are added the total rises to Rs1.98 million.
Tickets are now more expensiveThe most expensive seat to date is at the cinema in Mumbai that costs more than $2,000 (Rs2,020 with a charge for a convenience). The premium ticket is valid for entry only, and does not include benefits for food or beverages.
Dhurandhar was awarded the “A” certificate and carries the duration of around three hours, 30 minutes, which makes Dhurandhar the most long-running film in Ranveer Singh’s filmography to date.

The plot follows an unidentified “traveller” who infiltrates the Karachi underground to break down an unsavory nexus between underground elements as well as an intelligence organization.
With this the early pace, Dhurandhar seems poised for an impressive start at the box office.
