Four Private Schools in Delhi, Punjab-Haryana Secretariat Receive Bomb Threats; Probe Underway

On Thursday morning, four private schools in the national capital got phone calls claiming bombs were planted. Because of that, police, firefighters, and bomb squads rushed to respond quickly. Right away, people inside were moved out while safety sweeps began across each campus. Up until now, nothing dangerous has turned up during searches. At nearly the same time, a warning call came in for the Punjab-Haryana Secretariat too. That latest alert raised more unease, especially since several like it happened recently in Chandigarh.

An alarm came in at 8:22 am, officials said, from Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantt. Then, a call reached Don Bosco School in CR Park by 9:18 am. Carmel School in Anand Niketan got one shortly after, just before nine twenty-two. Another warning arrived for Carmel School in Dwarka’s Sector 23 three minutes later. Squad units moved fast, showing up at each spot without delay.

A short time later, emergency crews showed up at the schools – police, firefighters, explosives experts, and handlers with dogs – all starting detailed checks. People inside, both students and workers, got shifted to safer spots just in case, according to authorities.

Police and fire teams head to schools

One official from Delhi Fire Service said regular steps were used at every location. Right there, crews have arrived while searches for sabotage continue in order. So far, they found no signs pointing to foul play, according to the statement. At present, everything appears normal after thorough inspection by responders on scene.

A series of threatening phone calls has drawn attention from Delhi Police, who suspect a planned pattern behind them. Cyber teams plus intelligence officers have stepped in to look deeper. What stands out is how officials are now sifting through digital footprints – emails and call logs alike – to track where these warnings began. Behind each step lies careful review of data trails left behind.

A warning reached parents at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate, even though the school wasn’t directly contacted. Despite no call being made to them, staff chose to alert families about possible danger nearby. Afterward, a bomb detection unit moved through every part of the grounds. Their sweep covered classrooms, halls, and open spaces thoroughly.

Right after it happened, officials got word fast because the school reached out without delay. Every step meant to keep people safe was done exactly as required, no exceptions. “Keeping students and staff protected matters most,” according to what parents saw in the note. The moment things unfolded, actions lined up with plan – nothing skipped. What came through loud was care for everyone on campus. From start to finish, responses moved like they practiced. Safety didn’t wait, neither did replies.

Campuses Deemed Secure Class Schedule Restarted

Finding nothing unusual, officials gave the okay for students to return to those school buildings. Later on, leaders at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya said their own checks turned up no signs of dangerous items or odd packages.

“We are relieved to inform you that the premises have been declared completely safe. Student safety remains our highest priority, and all necessary protocols were followed promptly and responsibly. Classes will continue as usual today,” the school’s communication stated.

Later into the morning, officers said school doors opened again at several locations once deemed safe. Still, patrols stayed heavy through afternoon hours just in case. Probing deeper now, authorities work to see if warnings were false alarms or tied to something more serious.

Punjab Haryana Secretariat Gets Threat

A loud alarm rang through the morning when someone reported a possible explosive at the Punjab-Haryana Secretariat on Thursday. Rushing in fast came fire crews, officers from local police units, followed closely by experts trained to handle dangerous devices. Right away, they began scanning every corner of the building, eyes sharp, moving room to room. The whole scene unfolded under tight pressure, minutes stretching like hours.

Things were calm, officials noted, though nothing unusual showed up when they first looked. Still, teams kept searching every part of the building just in case.

This happened just one day following email warnings about bombs sent to over 26 schools across Chandigarh, sparking fear everywhere, so classrooms emptied fast. Though police in Chandigarh believe these alerts were probably fake, they still look closely into each case.

One by one, ten schools have finished their anti-sabotage screenings – nothing unusual turned up. Still going strong, teams are moving through the rest just to be sure. According to Chandigarh’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Kanwardeep Kaur, it’s all part of staying cautious. She noted that searches aren’t done yet across every school.

Repeated threats prompt calm urged by authorities

After the wave of threatening messages, city authorities in Chandigarh asked people to stay composed instead of reacting with fear. Each reported threat is under review, dealt with through standard safety procedures. The response follows routine checks meant to ensure public order without escalation.

Fear spread through parts of Chandigarh when messages warning of danger reached a number of learning centers. Schools tucked into sectors like 35, 19, 45, and others felt the immediate ripple. Because of this, guards multiplied near gates and walkways. Officers appeared more often on patrol, standing watch in shifts throughout the day.

Footprints left behind online are being traced by cyber experts hunting where the messages came from. Those caught stirring panic through calls or email face firm consequences, officials say again.

Finding their footing in Delhi, then moving through Chandiharh, teams push forward into Punjab-Haryana – officials insist danger isn’t looming. Still, watchfulness stays sharp, just in case.
