Chinese Woman Arrested for Attempting to Enter India Without Visa via Nepal Border

Yesterday, someone thought to be Chinese was detained by officials. Close to Maharajganj – right at the Nepal-India edge – it went down. Happened across that stretch of loose boundary in Uttar Pradesh. She skipped official crossing steps, enforcement noted. Right then, nearby agents sprang into motion.

At one in the afternoon, something changed just outside Bairia Bazaar. Movement along a thin trail drew attention – a figure stepping into Indian territory. The spot sits inside Nautanwa, not far from the border with Nepal.

Guards had been moving through their regular route when they spotted her crossing. Instantly stopped, she faced questions meant to uncover her identity.

It began with a question from an officer about travel papers. She could not show a valid passport or entry permission.

Soon enough, agents from the SSB stepped in and held her on the spot. Handover to local police followed without delay. Things moved fast once standard inspections found nothing in her file.

A scrap of paper turned up early, a name written there – this was their first hint. At Nautanwa station, Officer Purushottam Rao told what he knew without drama. In China she stays, so he said, calling her Huajia Jie. That single lead opened paths where before there were none.

Finding out her origin, route, and reasons for coming to India occupies authorities at present.

Communication remains a challenge because no shared language allows smooth talk yet.

Figuring things out as they go, the team waits to act until results come back from the investigation. Only then will choices be made about what happens next.
